[Narrator] Uprise: An uncompromising vision of The Matrix Online. A graphic novel by Sykin.
[Narrator] This is a dangerous game. At least, that's what they told me. The problem with suggestion is that there are those who choose not to listen. There are those who choose a different path; A path that they believe in. A path to live by. A path to live for. A path where you can't let anything get in your way. A path to die for ...
[Guard] Please ... don't ...
[Narrator] I am one of those people. My name is Sykin.
[Narrator] Of course, it did not start here. As things always tend to have, my story has a beginning.
[Narrator] I wasn't a god, figurativly speaking. My powerful input in matters beyond here, beyond the matrix...
[Narrator] Did not exist
[Narrator] My life was an epitome of fulfilment of all my dreams. I was a successful novelist, and yet, I was unsatisfied with the things I saw around me. The reality of things. The world was filled with things that were not right. Things I could not control no matter what I wrote, no matter how much I tried to inspire my fellow man with words and thoughts to look around temselves and just SEE...
[Narrator] It was around the time I had just completed the final chapter of my most anticipated sequel for 'The Guardian of the Realms'. I will never forget it. How could you forget if a strangely quiet man, dressed in black, walked towards you on the sidewalk and handed you a business card that only offered a phone number ... and the haunting promise of truth?
[Morpheus]: "I know that you are not content with this world. It is self-evident in your writings. What I am about to offer you is something that cannot be decided easily, so listen very carefully to what I say..."
[Narrator] His name was Morpheus. At first I suspected a lunatic fan, in the beginning. But in time, and after hearing his words, I found myself thinking that he was not looking for me to believe him... It was infact myself who was looking to believe in something at last.
[Narrator] Needless to say, I took the Red Pill. I remember vaguely of the time after. There was a crimson entanglement, like a suffocating nightmare. There was a sudden, harsh pull and then I was falling. Three lights appeared... And then, an open door.
[Narrator] I had fallen into the Real World. The Truth was harsher than I expected, I will not lie to you. But soon I became satisfied with my fate and accepted it like many others before me. After my recovery, I began training my body in the Real, where it counted. In time I was invited to have the chance to serve Zion back inside the Matrix. However...
[Narrator] The Machines, I soon learned, offered more. Under their order I progressed extremely fast in learning how to manipulate the Matrix.
[Sykin] Compliance is mandatory.
[Redpill 1] Screw you!
[Redpill 2] Piss off!
[Narrator] I fought Exiles, Redpills... Most of the things I did I am not proud of.
